2023 was 2023ing …. More on that later:-). As I was preparing for my Book Signing on December 16th, my friend asked if I was nervous about the book signing. I told her that Done is better than perfect. Then a video clip of me posted on Tik Tok the day before. It was from a Storytelling Slam from February- it’s amazing how you can preach to yourself. The timing of the video was a perfect reminder about the definition of courage.

Even though today is the first day of 2024
New starts aren’t just confined to this day anymore
Just as the sun rises each day with this message to send,
Reminding us that it brings an invitation to begin again.
I no longer burden myself with resolution lists and being anxious if I can’t go through it
The mantra that I repeat inwardly to myself each day is Just Do It.
Do it afraid
Do it imperfect
Do it authentically
Do it even if everything is not in place.
I promise you that when you do it
They’re someone who will receive a blessing through it.
Done is better than perfect.
